Jeanne Eckert Scholarship

The Taylor Garden Club began in January of 1990.  Throughout the years the members have dedicated many hours of service to improve the greening of the City of Taylor.  In an effort to continue the legacy of the club, and to honor a past member, we offer the Jeanne Eckert Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 to a graduating high school senior or college student who is choosing on of the following career paths: Horticulture, Conservation, Botany, Environmental Studies or Landscape Design.

This money is used for college expenses.  The check will be made out to the school you attend.  To apply, download and complete the application below and mail it to:

In addition you will need to provide the following:
 

-	A letter from a responsible adult (not related) who will vouch for the  applicant's character
-	A letter from the applicant's  Science teacher or professor
-	A one page personal mission statement in which the applicant addresses:
		-Statement of purpose for the scholarship funds -How this will aid you to further your education -Your achievements or activities in this subject of field -A future presentation topic
